Tattoos – Tribal or Traditional?
Many people are interested in traditional tattoos and tribal tattoos. Which is the better choice? It does come down to personal preference, but there are some very important things you should keep in mind when choosing either a tribal or traditional tattoo.
The traditional tattoo's have stood the test of time.
Traditional tattoo's have always been strong, solid tats that have maintained a sense of coolness to them throughout the years. For instance the popular nautical star which was first worn by sailors years ago as a symbol of navigating their way home from battle safely, is still a popular tattoo that remains strong and has different variations.
Tribal tattoo's have a trend attached to them. While tribal tattoo's have actually been around for hundreds of years, and do have meaning attached to them, it has only been in the last 10 or so years that they have become popular among modern day tattoo wearers. Things exploded in the trendy tribal tattoo market, and there was a point where it seemed everywhere you looked someone had some tribal tats recently inked.
The trend in tribal tats has slowed somewhat and it's unclear whether there are regrets by tribal tattoo wearers who feel they may have jumped on a temporary bandwagon.
But if tribal is what you are genuinely attracted to, then definitely go for it. There are now many variations on tribal tats which one can choose from. A good tattoo gallery will showcase all the latest in tribal designs.
It does come down to personal preference in the end, though if one is concerned with falling into a trend category when it comes to tattoo's, then traditional designs are generally the way to go.
